Place Marketing Manager, Richard Baker said:

“We received some excellent applications, and interviewed four fantastic candidates. It was a really difficult decision, as each candidate brought something unique, and their passion, interest and enthusiasm for helping boost Redcar and Cleveland really shone through.”

“In the end however, Angela’s breadth of skills, experience and knowledge in the subject matter just tipped things in her favour.”

Leading the recruitment process was Vice Chair of the Board, Andrew Fulton, Vice President and GM at ICL Boulby. Andrew said:

“I enjoyed the recruitment process; it gave me an opportunity to meet some very passionate people who had put themselves forward to lead our place marketing work and ambassador programme. Each candidate had a unique aspect to their application which we hope to capitalise on in the future. The candidates covered issues such as inspiring young women more; diversity and inclusion; and corporate social responsibility. We look forward to working more closely with all the candidates soon,”

“I’d also like to congratulate Angela on her very worthy appointment as Chair, and I’m looking forward to working with her as we continue our endeavours of showcasing Redcar and Cleveland to the world!”
