Online Workshop: Digital Tools for Remote Working

29th September 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join DigitalCity at their Digital Tools for Remote Working workshop as they explore the tech tools available to help build, manage and lead your remote working teams. The workshop is FREE to eligible Tees Valley-based business leaders and managers.

They are joined in this delivery by Brian Schur, Co-Director of the award-winning digital consultancy company, Braid Consulting. With over 25 years of internet and IT experience, Brian will share his wealth of knowledge, hints and tips to highlight how productive remote working can be.

Over the two hour session they will cover key elements including:

  • An overview of digital communication tools to allow effective remote working, team collaboration and productivity
  • The basic technical set up needed to make remote working ‘work’ including best practices
  • Effective cloud storage – pros, cons and examples
  • Security risks – things to consider when remote working including GDPR and keeping you and your staff secure

In the week following the workshop, each business will receive a scheduled 45 minute one-to-one session providing the opportunity to delve deeper into a discussion around your own work practices, the tools you’re using, any specific problems you’re having and the best practices to help you move forward.
