National Road Championships – 23 June 2024

Professional cycling returns to Redcar and Cleveland at this year’s British National Road Championships, taking place on Sunday 23 June 2024. British Cycling announced back in March that this cycling extravaganza will return to Tees Valley and North Yorkshire, as part of a new partnership with Tees Valley Combined Authority. The course will start and finish in Saltburn whilst also passing through Guisborough, Margrove Park, Boosbeck, Lingdale and Brotton.

Visit Tees Valley’s website offers an opportunity for business and attractions to advertise their events, venues, accommodation and food and drink offering all in our remarkable region helping to encourage people to visit Tees Valley. It is important that you have a listing on their website to ensure maximum exposure to the public through Visit Tees Valley’s marketing campaigns.

You can now log in into their new website to add your business with the instructions below:

To set up your account:

1. Visit the link here – https://teesvalley-ca.gov.uk/visit/my-account/
2. Click register and complete the form
3. An email will be sent to the Visit Tees Valley team to activate your account
4. Once approved, you will be able to log in and submit a new listing which will fall under one of the following categories; Things to See & Do, Where to Stay, Eat & Drink or What’s On

If you have any issues with your account, please email visit@teesvalley-ca.gov.uk and member the team will help you out.

If you already had an account and listing on their old Enjoy Tees Valley site, the process for you to reclaim your old account is as follows:

1. Visit the link here – https://teesvalley-ca.gov.uk/visit/my-account/
2. Use the ‘Forgot password option’
3. An email should be sent with a link to reset password; follow this to do so.
4. Once logged in you will be able to submit a new listing which will fall under one of the following categories; Things to See & Do, Where to Stay, Eat & Drink or What’s On

If you follow the above process and your listing is not showing in your account, please email visit@teesvalley-ca.gov.uk and a member of the team will assist you further.

Due to road closures, we advise businesses to arrange for deliveries either before or after the event to avoid disruption. Information on road closures is available here

Road Closures

To accommodate the start / finish of the road race, Glenside will be closed to all traffic from 0600 – 1900, from its junction with Windsor Road to the junction with Albion Terrace.

Car parking will also be suspended from 00:01 on Sunday 23rd June. The rest of the route will be operating on a rolling closure with roads closed for a short window of around 15 mins whilst the race passes through. There will be a clearway order implemented on the day meaning any parking on the race route will be suspended from 0600.
