Kirkleatham Training Centre open for business

Kirkleatham Training Centre opened its doors to the public yesterday at their premises at Kirkleatham Museum Courtyard, Kirkleatham, Redcar, TS10 5NW offering a wide range of bedding plants with the view to selling more home grown produce such as fruit and vegetables. The Centre’s gardening activities, managed by In Harmony Food Revolution CIC, encourage local residents into training and employment. Since starting in February 2019, the Centre has engaged with businesses with Scott Bros Limited donating 40 tonnes of top soil and 20 tonnes of compost, Wilton Engineering supporting with 45 scaffolding boards for raised beds and Beyond Housing supplying timber for fencing. Other providers such as Stockton Riverside College, The Junction Foundation, and HMP Kirklevington have also contributed to the success of the Centre.
