{"id":1581,"date":"2018-11-16T15:37:13","date_gmt":"2018-11-16T15:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/redcarcleveland.co.uk\/business\/?page_id=1581"},"modified":"2020-06-19T16:50:27","modified_gmt":"2020-06-19T15:50:27","slug":"renew-elp","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/redcarcleveland.co.uk\/business\/renew-elp\/","title":{"rendered":"ReNew ELP comes to Wilton International"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ReNew\u00a0ELP\u00a0is\u00a0at the forefront of a new era in chemical recycling.\u00a0The company is bringing a new technology to the UK that will chemically recycle end-of-life plastics into valuable oils and\u00a0petrochemicals\u00a0and\u00a0will shortly start construction of\u00a0its first commercial scale plant on Wilton International.\u00a0The unique Catalytic Hydrothermal Reactor (Cat-HTR) technology\u00a0uses water to break down plastic polymers and create new hydrocarbon molecules.\u00a0The process achieves in just 20 minutes what it takes nature 200 million\u00a0years and\u00a0has the potential to make a major contribution to tackling the global issue of end-of-life plastic waste disposal.<\/p>\n<p>The development of the initial plant on Wilton is anticipated to create up to 30 jobs, including 24\/7 operatives. In addition to these direct employment opportunities, there will also be opportunities for engineering firms in the local area, with an estimated 100+ jobs likely to be created during the construction phase.
