One of these contributions is a fund to support local tourism businesses to develop new products and services that showcase the North York Moors and its special qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What types of project does the funding support?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Priority will be given to exceptional and innovative ideas rather than simply the production of standard print material, for example. Here are a few ideas to get you thinking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop a new event that brings in a new audience to the North York Moors or encourages them to stay longer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Activity that encourages tourists to visit or stay in the North York Moors during the shoulder seasons \u2013 e.g. develop a dark skies experience (Astrotourism)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop a nature-based experience that enables visitors to actively learn about local wildlife and habitats through engagement and activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrated and innovative marketing campaigns that attract new or underrepresented audiences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>31 March 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note: Applications will be considered throughout the year. Out of this contribution, a fund has been established to support local tourism businesses to develop new products and services that showcase the North York Moors and its special qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Fund is designed to support new activity by businesses and organisations that promote the North York Moors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local businesses are encouraged to apply for funds to aid diversification, particularly activity that extends the season, provides a high quality visitor experience, encourages off-peak visits, supports the net zero carbon agenda and embodies regenerative tourism principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What types of project does the funding support?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The fund is available to support new or additional activity. Therefore applications must include only activity which is considered &#8216;new&#8217; i.e. working with new partners, targeting new markets, developing new products\/ packages, or new business start-ups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Existing groups\/businesses must ensure their project demonstrates development or progression from previous activity undertaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only marketing costs that support collaborations or new product development will be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline to apply for the 2025 grant is <strong>31 December 2026<\/strong>.
