This event brings out the spirit of Christmas in everyone throughout Marske. \nThe Pipers will be leading the parade and Santa will be at the back setting off at 6pm from Errington School. It will go down Windy Hill Lane around the roundabout and along Redcar Road finishing in the grounds of Marske Hall. If you want to see the Parade\, you need to line this route so get there early! \nSanta will be in his Grotto in The White House on Redcar Road 3.30pm till 5:30pm and 6:30pm till approx. 8.30pm. \nThere will be a fantastic craft fair in Marske Leisure Centre from 3.30pm until 7:30pm where you will be able to get hot food\, drinks\, and mulled wine. \nFree entry to the festival – £2 per child for Santa’s Grotto

But community singing\, whether in pubs or churches\, shanties on ships or for sport\, has been around for hundreds of years and allows everyone to take part. \nCarols have a way of getting people into the Christmas spirit and singing together in the centre of town only enhances that. DESCRIPTION:Redcar Illumination Parade 2021\n				\n			\n				\n			\n				\n				Redcar Light Switch On\n				\n			\n				\n			\n				\n				Redcar Illumination Parade 2021\n				\n		\n\n  \nThe magical season of Christmas kicks off in spectacular style in Redcar Town Centre and we hope you will join us in what will be an evening of stunning visual displays\, performance\, music\, lights\, and all-around joy! \nFollowing on from last year’s Illumination Parade\, we are bringing a creative spectacle to the town of Redcar with representatives from schools and community groups throughout the borough as we Deck the Shores! \nOver 200 participants will throng the streets with artwork created with professional artists\, including lanterns costumes and exciting visual spectacles that will light up the route from the Civic Centre to Redcar Town Clock. \nThe parade will also be decked with professional performers\, with the sights\, sounds and smells of everything festive whilst being entertained by outstanding musical artists Sisi as well as Groove Inc for a little bit of soul\, funk\, and Christmas classics\, supported by the emerging talents of Tuned In’s young people. \nThe ‘Deck the Shores’ Illumination Parade will begin at 4pm from the Civic Centre\, so wrap up warm and follow the crowds on a truly inspiring route of party. \nAnd if that wasn’t enough\, the big button will be pressed by Three Redcar Christmas Stars – three community champions nominated by you for their acts of kindness over the past year – along with the Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland. \n

The rooms will be adorned with sparkling lights\, pantomime inspired decorations and the fresh sweet smell of winter foliage from the garden. \nFrom the moment you arrive you will enter a theatrical atmosphere in the house\, from bright colours\, greenery and of course Christmas trees and decorations from some of the most beloved pantomimes\, such as Peter Pan and Snow White. \nAn admission ticket for the house and garden is needed to visit and enjoy this activity\, with free admission for National Trust members and under 5s. \n Fridays – Mondays from the 25th November and also Tuesday 20\, Wednesday 21 & Thursday 22 December.
