DESCRIPTION:Explore Saltburn Valley Gardens and discover a stunning constellation of stars\, play under the glittering light of a giant mirrorball heart and enjoy creating your own shadow stories! \nTake a moment to visit the Village of Light and listen to local people sharing stories about their town. Admire the lanterns created by schools and community groups from around the borough\, celebrating local landmarks. \nEnjoy performances by Whippet Up\, Saltburn Smugglers\, and storytelling by Ian Douglas and his beautiful Magic Lantern. Free craft activities will also be available to keep you entertained. \nThe event is accessible for wheelchair users and buggies. Visitors with access needs should enter the event via Cat Nab car park where blue badge spaces are available. The paths around the route are tarmac and there is step free access. However\, please note that some sections of path are quite steep and assistance may be required. There will be staff available to help visitors. \nTickets are available to book below\, Adults are £2 and children are free but need a ticket. Only assistance dogs are allowed on site during the event. \nYou can book to arrive at 6pm\, 7pm or 8pm each night. 6pm is our twilight slot so it’s suitable for younger children to arrive just as it’s getting dark. Steal some time away from the chaos to make your very own Christmas Wreath. As the wood burner blazes and crackles and festive tunes fill the air you’ll be given a step by step guide to creating your Christmas Wreath. You’ll be using fresh natural moss and seasonal foliage such as spruce and eucalyptus . \nTea\, coffee\, a cheeky glass of mulled wine\, delicious cake and mince pies will be provided.

SUMMARY:Craft Sessions at Flatts Lane Visitor Centre
DESCRIPTION:Come along to Flatts Lane Visitor Centre and get crafty this half term. \nTuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th October 2022\, 12pm – 3pm  \nWe will be winding our colourful wool around some wooden sticks to make a lovely colourful decoration to brighten up your home. Or you could choose to make one as a gift for someone special instead. \nChildren must be accompanied by an adult. \nRefreshments will be available to purchase from the Visitor Centre. \nBooking is essential so please email: flattslanecentre@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk or telephone 01642 459629 \n  \nThursday 27th and Friday 28th October 2022\, 12pm-3pm \nLearn some Caterpillar facts and enjoy foraging for a ‘camouflage’ to make your own camouflage Caterpillar to take home. \nChildren must be accompanied by an adult. \nRefreshments will be available to purchase from the Visitor centre.  \nBooking is essential so please email: flattslanecentre@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk or telephone 01642 459629
