It covers an area rich in historical interest\, from bronze and iron age burial mounds\, sites of Roman lookout posts\, Viking founded villages\, Norman strongholds and down through the ages of industrial Teesside to the town of Saltburn.\nThe Loop is designed for walkers of varying abilities\, but all should be relatively fit and adept at map reading.\nThe Mayor of Redcar & Cleveland will be raising funds on this day to contribute to his chosen charities.\nThis is an opportunity for other walkers to raise funds for their nominated charity\, even by just walking the first section. \nPreparation\nAll walkers are advised to start well prepared. \nConduct\nThe Loop has been designed for enjoyment of walking and is not a race.\nPlease observe the rules of the countryside and respect the property of landowners.
