Between the Tides Festival

Between the Tides Festival for children and families returns to the streets of Redcar

Between the Tides, Redcar & Cleveland’s flagship festival for children, young people and families returns to the streets of Redcar on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 August.

A free weekend of adventure and exploration for children and their grown-ups, the festival will transform the town into an exciting spectacle of theatre, puppetry, circus, dance, storytelling and live music in a creative celebration of Redcar’s coastal location.

Redcar will welcome a colourful cast of characters with pop up performances from nationally renowned outdoor arts companies. Highlights include:

We’re also delighted to welcome back Architects of Air with another incredible Luminarium installation in the grounds of Kirkleatham Museum.  This will be a different structure than last year’s so visitors will be welcome to return for another amazing wander through a magical labyrinth of saturated light tunnels.  Open Thursday 22 to Sunday 24 August, this was a total sell out last year.  Tickets on sale now at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/redcar-and-cleveland-borough-council/luminarium-2024-between-the-tides-festival-architects-of-air-by-alan-parkinson/e-akzpbz

The festival has been funded by the Arts Council with support from Without Walls and programmed by the Events Team at Redcar & Cleveland Council.
