Redcar Beacon

Redcar Beacon

After the demolition of Redcar's Victorian pier in 1891, The Redcar Beacon was built as a part of the regeneration of Redcar seafront. The 80ft tall beacon offers stunning 360 degree views of the sandy shores of Majuba Beach and the surrounding area, and at night it is lit in an array of colours!

Beacon Viewing Platform Opening Dates

The Beacon is open daily 9:00am – 5:00pm (subject to bad weather)

Children under the age of 16 are to be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

The Beacon is accessible to wheelchair users via a ramp and the top of the Beacon is accessible by a lift.

The Beacon Lounge

Overlooking the seafront, The Beacon Lounge offers the perfect picturesque setting to enjoy freshly made pizzas, paninis and drinks. Whether you prefer the cosy atmosphere of the bar, outdoor seating in the sun or the sophisticated ambience of the sky pods available for hire on the upper terrace, it's sure to be a fantastic experience!
