Scream Factory - October 11th to November 2nd

For those looking for a good scare, the North-East's only multi-award winning scare event is the perfect place to be. The linear style event takes you through zone after zone of scares and thrills, featuring high quality sets, props, costumes, special effects and actors to create the most memorable night of frights possible.

The Scream Factory offers a range of tours for different audiences, including the Children's Twilight Tour so the little ones don't have to be left out of the frightful fun.

Halloween with Redcar & Cleveland Libraries - Various Dates

There's haunting Halloween crafts to create, spooky scavenger hunts to complete and reading trail riddles to ruminate on with Redcar & Cleveland Libraries! Libraries all across the borough will be providing a range of FREE drop-in activities for families to enjoy this October half term. Whether your little ones would prefer to take it easy with some sensory rhyme time or join you on an adventure around the borough, you're sure to find something to suit their tastes. Halloween Crafts at Flatts Lane - October 29th & 30th

Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park's Visitor's Centre invites you to enjoy an afternoon of creepy crafts and Halloween fun with a fantastic arts and crafts session, perfect for those who love to express their creative side!

£2 per child to participate, all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.


Georgia's Monster Circus - October 29th

Aimed at children aged 7 to 10 - In Georgia's Monster Circus, children are invited to take part in an imaginative and exciting 1 hour 30 minute workshop which immerses them in a world of whimsical characters and puppetry. In this session children will have the opportunity to puppeteer a variety of high quality puppets designed specially for them - each monster puppet can perform their own unique circus which the children will bring to life!

Please note, this is part of Hullabaloo’s Place to Play programme and exclusively available to families in Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland.


Wheelchair Basketball Camp - October 28th & 30th, November 1st

Redcar Leisure Centre welcomes primary school age children to take part in their October half term wheelchair basketball camp! Both able bodied and disabled children are welcome to participate - it's a sport for everyone! An ideal activity to take part in for kids who like to keep active throughout the half term.

Sessions are £3 per child per session. Places do need to be reserved - make sure you contact b.russelcoaching@gmail.com to secure your place!


Woodland Walks

As the leaves change from green to their beautiful autumn colours and start to fall it's the perfect time to enjoy a walk out in Redcar and Cleveland's picturesque woodlands. From Kirkleatham Museum's woodland trail to a stroll through the woodlands at Locke Park to our longer woodland walk routes, there's plenty of choice for you to find the right trail for the whole family.


There’s always plenty to see and do in Redcar and Cleveland over the holidays, even as the weather starts to get colder. With traditional seaside amusements, leisure facilities for those looking for a dip in the pool, fascinating museums exploring the area's history and so much more in store – whatever you fancy, you’ll find it on our dedicated Things to See and Do page.
