Welcome to Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park

Flatts Lane Visitor Centre and toilets are open Tuesday to Sunday between 8am and 3pm. We endeavour to have the visitor centre open as much as possible, but do feel free to get in touch if you want to plan a visit. Contact details below.

With FREE carpark we are the perfect place to explore, play and relax in the countryside packed with woodland walks, panoramic views, sculpture trail, adventure play area, arboretum, and more!

Hot and cold refreshments can be purchased from inside the visitor centre where seating is available, or from the service hatch for take-out.

Opening Times and Access

The car park and general park access is FREE and open 24/7.

Cyclists and horse riders are very welcome, but are required to keep to the marked bridleways (and off the footpaths and woodland trails).

All motor-powered vehicles, including off road bikes and quads, are strictly prohibited over the entirety of the site and will be reported to the police and vehicles potentially seized.

No camping, BBQ's or fires are permitted at any time.

The car park is located off Flatts Lane that runs between Normanby and the A171 Guisborough Road. Brown tourist signs are located in Normanby and on the A171 directing people to the park. Access on foot is possible from Normanby, Eston, Ormesby, Spencerbeck and Nunthorpe.

Admission

Admission to the site is free. Some events throughout the year will be subject to an admission fee, please see the ‘What’s on’ section for events and admission costs.
