It’s all happening at The Mighty Weekend!

Three action-packed days spread across Redcar, Guisborough and Saltburn featuring pop music stars, rock band tribute acts, tasty treats, beach parties and even a sporting challenge. Friday 26 July
Summer Sounds 70s and 80s Tribute Music Festival (5pm – 11pm) The Mighty Weekend Head over to Gisborough Priory for the country’s premier 70s and 80s tribute acts at the Summer Sounds Music Festival.
Clubland on the Beach 3.0 (4pm – 11pm) The Mightry Weekend   The best in dance music at Clubland on the Beach as amazing club tracks by Special D, N-Trance and Micky Modelle rock Majuba beach.
Saturday 27 July
We Love the 90s (2pm – 11pm) Chart toppers Atomic Kitten, Gareth Gates, Five and S Club 3 bring We Love the 90s to life on Redcar’s Majuba Beach.
Summer Sounds Tribute Festival (5pm – 11pm) The Summer Sounds Tribute Festival gets its rocks off at Gisborough Priory paying homage to pop and rock greats including Queen, UB40, Take That, Bon Jovi and Bruno Mars.
Sunday 28 July
Redcar Sprint Triathlon (9.30am start) Redcar Sprint Triathlon returns - take part or just cheer on the competitors as they tackle a challenging open water swim before cycling and running around the closed road circuit in our seaside town.
Saltburn Food Festival (10am – 6pm)   Pop over to the annual Saltburn Food Festival where you find array of intercontinental food and drink and some surprising works of art.
Proms in the Priory (6pm – 10.30pm) And then we have our Mighty Weekend finale – the Proms in the Prior. Join us as the London Gala Orchestra fills the historic Gisborough Priory with classical music before a firework extravaganza draws The Mighty Weekend to a close.
 

Travel

Redcar to Saltburn: Travelling to Redcar for the Sprint Triathlon or from Redcar to Saltburn for the Food Festival? We have it covered. If you are arriving into Redcar via train: A free shuttle service will be available to take you between Redcar Central Station (picking up at West Dyke Road South Car Park adjacent to the station) and Majuba Car Park. The service will run on a loop starting at 09.05am with the last bus heading back to Redcar Central at 12.40pm. If you are travelling to Saltburn from Redcar via train: Trains run every hour from Redcar central to Saltburn taking you right to the heart of Saltburn Food Festival. You can find out about the train times at www.nationalrail.co.uk. If you are travelling to Saltburn from Redcar via bus: Arriva bus services 3 and x4 run throughout the day from Redcar into Saltburn. Buses will leave from opposite Morrisons in Redcar during the Triathlon and from the Clock otherwise. Between Saltburn and Guisborough: Festival Bus: You can travel to and from Guisborough and Saltburn using the ‘Festival Bus’, a park and ride service running between Fountain Street Car Park, Guisborough and the Saltburn Food Festival. The Festival Bus will run every fifteen minutes starting at 9.30am with the last bus leaving Saltburn for Guisborough at 5.30pm. Home Time A free night bus can pick you up from Priory Fish Shop (just outside Gisborough Priory) taking you directly to Gisborough Hall in Guisborough, Station Street in Saltburn, Markse High Street and Redcar Clock in Redcar, as well as bus stops en route. Be aware: The bus will pick you up from Priory Fish Shop (just outside Gisborough Priory) at approximately 10.30pm. Places are limited and must be booked in advance.
