Tour de Yorkshire 2020

Redcar and Cleveland Visual Border

The Tour de Yorkshire is coming to Redcar and Cleveland. Redcar is the host town for the finish of Stage One of this year’s event on Thursday, 30 April.


Residents, businesses and community groups are being invited to a series of Tour de Yorkshire roadshows in Redcar and Cleveland. This is a great opportunity to come along and find out more about what is happening in our local area and across the region during the Tour. Roadshows are happening in:

LOFTUS – Wednesday 12th February, 6 – 8pm. Town Hall, High Street, Loftus, TS13 4HG – BOOK YOUR PLACE HERE.

REDCAR – Monday 17th February, 6 – 8pm. Redcar Rugby Club, Green Lane, Redcar, TS10 3RW – BOOK YOUR PLACE HERE.

SALTBURN – Thursday 20th February, 5.30 – 7.30pm. Saltburn Leisure Centre, Marske Mill Lane, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, TS12 1HJ = BOOK YOUR PLACE HERE

The route

Stage One sees the cyclists depart from Beverley and head for the coast. The race travels through North Yorkshire seaside locations including Filey and Whitby before entering Redcar and Cleveland.

Our stage of the race, which is expected in mid-late afternoon, will see crowds welcome the riders as they speed through Easington, Loftus, Carlin How, Brotton, Saltburn and Marske before a sprint finish along the Stray to the finishing line outside Zetland Park in Redcar.

Redcar | Cleveland Ambassadors hoping to play their part in a fantastic day for our area can register their interest in volunteering now.
