Redcar and Cleveland Story

Welcome to the Redcar and Cleveland Story

We’ve carried out a thorough appraisal to highlight what’s special about our place. We have identified how we are different and what we need to focus on in order to attract growth and investment. Our story explains what Redcar and Cleveland has to offer, captures the spirit of the area and will be what puts us ‘on the map’ for all the right reasons. The tiles below focus on the themes of the Redcar and Cleveland story, and the ‘big idea’, Forging Bridges. These themes, whilst telling our story, will also determine how we develop our offer through the way we communicate, what we build, the environment we create and the way we behave. Whilst some elements describe what we have and the way we are now, they also reflect what we want and need to be in the future; so our approach is both aspirational and based on the reality that can be experienced today. To see it all, you can read here the whole Redcar | Cleveland story.
