We caught up with Holly Thomson and Liz Atkin from Blonde Creative, a remarkable copywriting and brand strategy company, creating effective brands through amazing content!
Can you tell me about your organisation?
Blonde Creative is a brand & content studio based in Redcar. We (Holly Thomson & Liz Atkin) help businesses transform into powerful brands through their written content – think: websites, brochures, newsletters, etc. Brand personality and tone of voice is our speciality. It’s amazing being able to work with clients from across the UK & US, but writing for companies closer to home always feels extra special!
What is the best thing about your organisation?
Watching a client go from having a brand they’re not in love with, to one they love showing off is why we do this. We’re all about making other people’s business dreams come true through copy that *really* connects with their audience. Our different generational perspectives is our superpower – so when someone chooses to work with us, they’re tapping into lots of experience, ideas and know-how!
As proud Redcar & Clevelanders, we’re cheerleaders (metaphorically speaking!) for the area, and it’s important to us that we outsource our own business needs to local suppliers wherever possible.
What is the proudest achievement in your career?
For Holly, she was over the moon to be selected as a speaker at the TEDxTeessideWomen event in November 2023.
Liz has written her first business book, “Refreshing Comms: Internal Communication For a Better Connected, Feel-Good, Goal Achieving Workplace”, to be released May 2024 (but available for pre-order soon!).
What are you looking forward to in the next 12 months?
We’re both very excited for the upcoming book launch, which has certainly been a journey! We’re also looking forward to continued growth and seeing more brilliant clients go forth and conquer with their brands.
What would you say is the best thing about Redcar and Cleveland?
Redcar & Cleveland has its own identity and personality – it knows what it is, and there’s no place like it. From its location, its people and the diverse business community, we wouldn’t be anywhere else!
