Ambassador Spotlights: Northern Healthcare Supplies Ltd

Can you tell me what your organisation does?

We provide medical consumables to all healthcare and cosmetic professionals. We know first hand how important it is to have the equipment to carry out procedures and the impact it can have if you don’t!

We supply medical consumables such as syringes, needles, swabs and sharps bins, to businesses in healthcare and cosmetic professions, such as vets, dentists, aesthetics clinics, care homes and tattooists.

Our goal is to make life as easy as possible for our customers, taking away any headaches – “we worry about it so they don’t have to”.

We’re soon to be moving into our new premises on Coatham Road, Redcar, keep your eyes peeled for us!

Can you tell me the best thing about your organisation?

The best thing about us is that we understand each customers individual needs and how important each order is to them! Not having the products needed, means that they can’t provide the services that they do and we get our kicks knowing that we are making peoples businesses run smoothly.

We love being Redcar-based and helping other local businesses. For us, being locally based means our customers can have products when they need them. Working with local businesses and local people is a real bonus. We believe small independent businesses a crucial for any area and as we grow, we will be looking at employing more people from within Redcar and Cleveland.

What is the proudest achievement in your career?

I have had many proud moments in my working life, but to date I am most proud of the business I have created, and the services offered, I believe the business in this area can grow from strength to strength . The county is booming with people in the beauty, cosmetic and tattooing industries as well as our great healthcare organisations. I am very passionate about this business, and I thrive in giving people the very best service possible.

What are you looking forward to in the next 12 months?

We aim to expand our business to having a larger premises in the area, where customers can also come to us to buy their products and take on additional delivery drivers, all of which would be hired from the Redcar and Cleveland area.

We are also looking into some exciting opportunities where we will be bringing to market our own brand products. Using our contacts in the medical manufacturing industry. We are so excited about the whole process and end products that we will produce.

What would you say is the best thing about Redcar and Cleveland?

Redcar and Cleveland is a special place for me! My family and I moved here a couple of years ago for the beaches and outdoor living opportunity. We have made some amazing life long friends and could not think of anywhere we would rather be!

I visit Marske beach almost daily to walk with my wife and kids, not forgetting the dog and unwinding from a busy day! However, for me the best thing is waking up and opening the curtains to some truly magical sunrises over Huntcliff, and the views of the sunsets from the top of Errington woods!

We also love how the local business in Redcar are so willing to help and support one another, there is very much a community spirit within the area, which makes growing a business here so much easier. Having people to turn to for advice or to give advice back to, is really special!

Having previously lived inland in hugely built up areas, we cherish living by the sea and the beauty of this small corner of the country!
