Ambassador Spotlights: Signals Saltburn

We caught up with Josh from Signals, a bright, modern and welcoming café in the heart of Saltburn. Find out about their fantastic business below:

Can you tell me about your organisation?

Signals has been a popular hangout for locals since our opening in 1986, with seaside visitors from across the country heading to our must-visit venue!

During the day, Signals is a wave of warmth and style, where our ever-changing menu dances with the seasons. When the cafe closes, step into our lively taproom, where epic craft beers, unique cocktails, and infectious live music set the stage for creating lasting memories!

If you haven’t already, come and try our famous parmo loaded fries and hot chocolates!

What is the best thing about your organisation?

We’re so proud to have had Signals as a family business since 1986! We all grew up in hospitality, and it’s deeply rooted in all of our lives.

What is the proudest achievement in your career?

Definitely navigating COVID and realising that as a business, we’re capable of adapting quickly and diversifying our offering, by tapping into different trends.

What are you looking forward to in the next 12 months?

Expanding the Signals dream, and creating more opportunities and new experiences.

What would you say is the best thing about Redcar and Cleveland?

Seeing a massive shift in the area; there are a lot of business owners really pushing for change. People want to put Redcar & Cleveland on the map, making it an awesome place to live and work, as well as making it a desirable place for visitors.
