Stage 4 of the prestigious Tour of Britain cycle race comes to the borough of Redcar and Cleveland on Wednesday 7 September 2022, featuring Olympic, world champion and Tour De France riders and is starting at our seaside town of Redcar. It’s time to get into the competitive spirit and ready ourselves for what promises to be a must-watch day of racing.

The event will be televised around the world and we can’t wait to show off what a beautiful corner of it we live in!

This will be the first time the borough of Redcar and Cleveland has hosted the Tour of Britain, while the finish marks the race’s first return to North Yorkshire in 13 years. Popular seaside towns such as Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Whitby will be raced through before the route heads into the North York Moors National Park.
