We’re well served by A-roads in and out of the borough, making a commute to work or visit easy and quick.
Accessible from all directions, you can drive into Redcar and Cleveland from the A174 linked to the A19 running north to south, the A1(M) linked with the M62 from the west, from the north west, the A66 connects to the M6 and from the east, the B1269 connects to the A171.

Public transport and air
All bus providers operating in Redcar and Cleveland accept the POP Pay As You Go ticket, making public transports even more convenient. Put an end to fiddling for correct change by pre-buying our ticket via your phone.
Redcar Central, Redcar East, Marske and Saltburn train stations serve Redcar and Cleveland. London and Edinburgh have direct high-speed services to/from Darlington, easily reachable from our local stations.
Transpennine Express now operate a direct train service to and from Redcar and Saltburn, to Manchester, Leeds and York.
Teesside International Airport is close by and connects Redcar and Cleveland with the rest of the world via regular flights to Amsterdam with KLM, as well as flights to Aberdeen, Jersey and popular holiday destinations of Majorca, Corfu, Alicante and Algarve.
In addition, Newcastle International Airport is the region’s largest airport and handles domestic, European and international flights.
