Teesport adds second Scottish rail service in ‘major milestone’

PD Ports has once again proved it has real ‘energy for industry’ as a second Scottish rail service for Teesport is hailed a “major milestone”.

The extra service, launched by Teesport owner PD Ports, opens up more opportunities to connect European and global importers and exporters with the north.

It has been welcomed by regeneration chiefs who say it helps position Teesside as an “outward-looking, global region able to take advantage of all the opportunities of Brexit.”

Container handling at Teesport is seeing “considerable” growth year on year, expanding more than any other UK port in 2017.
