Launch of Redcar and Cleveland investment brochure

The huge potential of investing in Redcar and Cleveland is highlighted in a brand new high-quality brochure which promotes £6 billion worth of developments.

The regeneration of Teesworks, the development of a Freeport, the cutting-edge industry on the Wilton International site and investment by private businesses is showcased in the brochure.

The investment potential in Redcar and Cleveland is enhanced by its natural beauty, with the coastline and a gateway to the North York Moors.

The new brochure markets the twin attraction for businesses looking to invest in an area offering significant financial benefits in an area with a skilled and willing workforce, and a cost of living which compares favourably to many other areas nationally.

It has been produced by Redcar and Cleveland’s Place Marketing initiative, in association with Redcar & Cleveland Council’s Business team and the Redcar | Cleveland Place Board, which collectively promote the borough as a fantastic place in which to live, enjoy and do business.

The 40-page brochure features:

  • Details on the £6 billion-worth of nationally significant projects and developments happening in Redcar and Cleveland;
  • An overview of the council-led place projects improving quality of life for residents and enjoyment for visitors;
  • Outline of business support services available for investors;
  • Information on the wonderful coastal lifestyle in Redcar and Cleveland.

Place Marketing Manager Richard Baker added: “In this brochure we outline the major investment sites and opportunities – Teesworks; the UK’s largest industrial zone and Teesside Freeport, Britain’s first and largest freeport. Also part of the Freeport, is Wilton International a 2,000-acre manufacturing site. Sitting next door is Wilton Centre, the premier science park in North East England. We have a real energy for industry in Redcar and Cleveland, and we’re inviting investors be part of it.”
