The Palace Hub is a unique business centre located on Redcar’s esplanade, offering state of the art facilities to the creative digital sector, providing office space, meeting rooms, unique pods, and a home for a wide range of different organisations!

Within the centre, there are 40 offices/studios, 8 pods, a gallery and three commercial spaces; occupying these rooms, there are 29 tenants, ranging from small to medium enterprises – from artists, to salons, to charities, the Palace Hub is a diverse community of passionate organisations supporting one another to strive for success.

Hear from Place Marketing Apprentice, Daniel Behrens, and Carl Lamb, Facilities Manager at Redcar & Cleveland Council, on the Palace Hub in the video below!

Dan said “I’ve interviewed some of the businesses inside of the centre, they were great to work with, there was lots of positive feedback on the building itself and what it is like to work in the centre, and there was a great ‘community’ themed response from all the organisations”.

Background

Founded in 2013, the Palace Hub was originally designed for the creative sector, opening its doors to artists and digital creative organisations working business-to-business. As a result of this policy, the Palace Hub was just 47.5% occupied in 2014/15; change was therefore necessary, and the policy was altered, opening up spaces to more organisations, and the building has now achieved 100% occupancy, with a waiting list of 25 enthusiastic businesses hoping to move into the sought after business centre!

Shining a spotlight

The Palace Hub brings a lot to our local economy, attracting investment into the heart of the community, as well as adding an attractive, modern look to Redcar’s seafront. While people may be aware of the Palace Hub, a lot of people are unfamiliar with the activity ongoing within the business centre, and the businesses inside…

So that we could shine a spotlight on what goes on what goes on within the centre, we interviewed some of the fantastic organisations based in The Palace Hub, hear about life as a business based in the centre, by clicking the tiles below!
