22nd March 2021 – Sugar Noms

? SUPER SWEET!

This week’s ‘Behind the Scenes’ is with the fabulous @sugarnomsuk who are making Vegan Life “Sweet”!

The Story so far..

Kay and Marc @sugarnomsuk are the couple behind this inspirational company. Both are vegan and in their own words ‘We are vegan for the animals not so much for health – hence the sweet and chocolate obsession!’

? Sugar Noms got started during lockdown 1.0 in May 2020, Marc had lost his job and

Kay’s work had moved solely online, so both had more time to dedicate to the business Kay had dreamed of starting for years.

Born out of their spare bedroom, which they soon outgrew, they moved to wonderful offices in the Innovation Centre in Redcar. Kay won funding when she attended a ‘Dragon’s Den style’ investment event through the University of Sunderland, which helped towards the expansion.

? Roll forward to January 2021 and Sugar Noms is now a limited company! Kay is currently doing some specialist training, to help develop their very own exclusive handmade confectionery!
