3rd May 2021 – Oh, The Places You’ll Go

? The book is just the beginning

This week Behind the Scenes is with @otpyglearningbox a wonderful Marske based company, who produce the most thoughtful, creative, engaging and eco friendly learning boxes, designed to work with children from birth to 8 years old.

? Each learning box has been carefully planned for a particular age, with a learning card inside suggesting activities and songs to accompany the book and resources. They make perfect presents, ideal for birthdays, Christmas or even baby showers.

Sophie, is the dedicated teacher behind this super company.

Sophie’s Story

⭐‘As a teacher with a love of books, I am thrilled to have started this small business where I can help to support parents in helping their children learn through play. I have designed learning cards so that parents can facilitate learning opportunities after the book has been read whilst using development tips to scaffold learning. Because the book is just the beginning.

⭐ I have two of my own children and make sure that they have a bedtime story every night. Teaching them to love and respect books has been really important. Days can be tough as a parent but reading brings a relaxing close to the day and they love to listen, look and unwind whilst being read to.

The name ‘Oh, the places you’ll go…’ came from Dr Seuss. The message from his book with this title is that for every child, the world is theirs. Wherever their feet and brain take them. Whether it’s a high or a low, good or bad, right or wrong, the book provides a magical view on life and its possibilities.’

⭐ The learning boxes would make AMAZING gifts, Sophie carefully creates the fun learning cards and you can tell each box has been created with genuine love. Even down to the packaging which is eco friendly and doubles up as a colouring activity!
