Popular Scotch Egg specialists bring national award back to Teesside

They’ve already tickled the taste buds of local foodies and Royalty alike with their gourmet Scotch Eggs.

And now David and Christine Laing of The Clucking Pig Company have scooped a major national award after being named as ‘Best Game Farmers’ Market Stall, including Street Food’ at a glittering London ceremony at the prestigious Eat Game Awards last week.

The popular Teesside foodies were one of just eleven winners chosen by the public from almost 4,000 national nominees at the Awards – an annual celebration of wild British produce – and the Scotch Egg specialists bagged the huge accolade after wowing the voting public with their range of Venison and Mixed Game best-sellers, including Pheasant, Wild Yorkshire Rabbit, Wood Pigeon and Partridge.
