Word Search Wednesday

Welcome to Word Search Wednesday. Every week we will be bringing you a brain teasing word search inspired by things you would find in Kirkleatham Museum or our amazing local area. Are you ready for the challenge?

Steel Stories

We have put together a short film from our award winning Steel Stories exhibition for you to watch at home together with a Steel Stories themed word search downloadable here.

Don’t forget to come and visit the full exhibition when the Museum opens its doors again.

Spring

At the beginning of April, David Hockney sent us all a set of gorgeous paintings he’d done in isolation in Normandy and a message: Don’t forget, they can’t cancel Spring.

Our Wednesday word search available here reminds us that Spring is still happening all around us. Something to keep our spirits up!

Museum Week

To coincide with MuseumWeek and Wednesdays #togetherMW we have two word searches for you to complete this week Museum and Galleries for the adults and School Trip for the children .

Nature

We need to notice the world around us and make time to enjoy small moments in life. This weeks Wednesday word search available here is full of words to help us keep in touch with nature and our inner selves.

Saxon Treasures

One of our most popular exhibitions at the museum is, the Saxon Princess. The exhibition showcases findings from an archaeological dig in Loftus where the princess, Saxon jewellery, weapons and more were discovered.

Saxon treasures have been pretty elusive for archaeologists to find. See if you can have better luck finding the Saxon words in this word search.

Garden Wildlife

This week’s Wordsearch Wednesday features all kinds of garden wildlife – maybe once you’re done you can go out and find some yourself!

Beside the Sea Side, Beside the Sea

This week’s Wordsearch Wednesday we are celebrating the seaside, why don’t you ‘sea’ what you can find.

Autumn Word search

It’s Autumn Wednesday Word search time! Keep cosy indoors finding all the words, then see if you can spot some of these things when you’re next out and about.
