Redcar & Cleveland Armed Forces Day
Redcar & Cleveland Armed Forces Day 2026, organised by Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council in partnership with Royal British Legion Redcar Branch and Redcar Rotary Club, will take place Saturday June 27th, on High Street, Redcar – in the area of the King Edward VII Memorial Clock.
There will be entertainment throughout the day with musicians and singers, military pipes and drums, cadet drill displays and competition, and children’s activities for all ages.
Armed Forces Day is the town’s chance to show its appreciation for our Armed Forces – past, present, and future.

Event Programme
10.00am – Official Opening: Parade on Redcar High Street from Moore Street to the Edward VII clock. Introduction and welcome from Mr Eric Howden BEM, President of Redcar Branch Royal British Legion.
10.05am – Raising of the Colours of TS Zetland
10.15am – Welcome address by the Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland. The last post is sounded. Two-minute silence is observed. Reveille is sounded. Three cheers for His Majesty King Charles III followed by the National Anthem.
10.25am – Parade: March off the High Street
10.30am – Local Vocals Community Choir
10.45am – Armed Forces Champion presentation
11.00am – Cleveland Army Cadets Corp of Drums
11.30am – Imaginarium Dance Theatre
11.45am – The Lipsticks Trio
12.45pm – George Robinson – Redcar’s Crooner
1.15pm –Cadet Demonstration and Drill Competition between Sea Cadets from TS Zetland and 2394 Sqn Royal Air Cadets and Redcar Detachment “C” Company Cleveland Army Cadet Force.
2.15pm Results of the Drill Competition Dance off: please join the cadets on the dance floor
3.00pm – Cleveland Army Cadets Corp of Drums
3.30pm – Evening Colours: A farewell and safe journey home
