LOCAL poet, Harry Man, has created an online electric poetry machine that writes unique poems for people to share with their loved ones.
Harry has developed the on-line poetry machine at www.theelectricpoetrymachine.co.uk on behalf of Redcar & Cleveland Council and Middlesbrough Council to help residents in the area stay connected during the Coronavirus restrictions.
The fun and bright poems use lines of poetry that Harry has written in combination with images of local landmarks that resemble Polaroid photos – all ready to share on the user’s social media channels.
People can join in the fun and generate their own poems and share them on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #MomentsofJoy
Creator of the electric poetry machine, Harry Man, explained:
“Although the poems are made by a program that stitches together pre-written lines, they are designed to conjure those same feelings of happiness and gratefulness that we all share, particularly at Christmas.
“By pairing images of local landmarks, we know and love with words that feel comforting and that reflect our own experiences they have an amazing capacity to make us feel more connected to each other.”
