Friday Five

It’s Friday Five – our roundup of five great things happening in Our Redcar Cleveland each week!

  1. Brilliant to hear that The Mighty Redcar star Kaitlyn has bagged a role in a movie with Oscar nominated Richard E. Grant. See if you can get him to come up #OurRedcarCleveland Kaitlyn – Be nice for him not ‘go on holiday by mistake’ for once. (Withnail &I reference for the film buffs out there…)

Friday Five

2. One of the most important dates in the #OurRedcarCleveland social calendar rolls around tomorrow – it’s Ladies Day at Redcar Racecourse. Good luck to the punters, jockeys and the hard working staff at @redcaracing!

Friday Five

3. The first Kirkleatham Woodland 5km Family Fun Run takes place Sunday 23 June. There are still places available – visit: http://www.muddyroads.co.uk/ to book your place in this family-friendly trail run. Places are also available on the day.

4. X-Factor star James Arthur paid a visit to his old digs in Saltburn for a TV documentary. James said: “This area is not known nationwide for being a particularly glamorous place, but it’s special to me and it’s what you make of it.”

We think you’d be a great Ambassador James!

Friday Five

5. Was great to see  Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council’s environmental protection team join in Clean Air Day on Thursday offering tips on how we can all improve the air we breathe.

Tell us what you think we should include in next week’s Friday Five!
