It’s Friday Five – our round up of five great things happening in Our Redcar Cleveland this week.

1 We celebrated our 300th Ambassador!

2. Redcar and Cleveland celebrated Armed Forces day in style. In attendance was 96 year old Redcar woman Joyce Dowding who served in Normandy during the D Day landings.

3. Tees Valley Business Summit – the team were at the 8th annual Tees Valley Business Summit, which saw a record attendance of 1,200. Lots of interest in the Ambassadors programme and great networking with local partners.

4. Fore! Golf Week proved a hit with the golfers, most from from outside the borough. As well as enjoying our great golf courses, the golfers spent hundreds of pounds in our local economy.

5. One for the runners out there – Time’s running out to enter the @SABIC Eston Nab Challenge Race on Saturday 20 July. Entries close on SUNDAY!.
