Wilton Centre owners, Pioneer Group, show support to local innovative businesses!

Why Pioneer Group is the perfect backer for award scheme’s ‘Innovation’ category

With entries now open, a centre that specialises in innovation is the ideal match for a Tees Business Award that recognises our area’s remarkable talent for new developments. Step forward, the Wilton Centre! The Innovation Award is one of 11 that will be handed out at the second Tees Business Awards, to be held on Thursday, April 18 in Hardwick Hall’s Coleman Suite.

Organised by Tees Business in association with leading games developer Double Eleven, it’s sure to be an exciting celebration of the Tees region’s remarkable business talent. And by sponsoring the category, the Wilton Centre – owned by the Pioneer Group – is showing its backing for the wealth of innovative talent we have on Teesside.

Site director Steve Duffield, pictured with Tees Business sales manager Chris Garbutt, said: “Pioneer Wilton Centre is delighted to sponsor the Innovation Award for 2024. Wilton Centre has a rich heritage of innovation and continues to be a be at the forefront of new developments in life sciences and planetary health. We look forward to seeing the nominees, which no doubt will demonstrate Teesside’s innovative strength.”

Last year’s Innovation winner, Stockton-based Ogel, clinched the title for its ground-breaking production of modular building systems from waste plastic – a process that saw Ogel featured on TV’s Dragon’s Den. Who succeeds Ogel, however, is all down to who enters – but whoever wins will need to show that it has successfully invested in its ongoing success, bringing new innovations and products/services to the market over the last year or so.

Entries for the Innovation category, plus 10 others, are open now. And while the deadline for nominations isn’t until Friday, January 26, there’s no time like the present to submit a detailed, well thought-out nomination and avoid any last-minute rush.
