Eleanor’s Blog

Hello!

I’ve spent ages deciding how to start my blog. I wanted to write something punchy and exciting, full of explosive language to shock and amaze. But I’d rather just be honest.

I’m Eleanor, I’m eighteen, and I’ve lived in Redcar and Cleveland my whole life. My granddad worked in the steelworks and is the proudest Yorkshireman I know, so the Yorkshire Rose is in my blood.

When starting my work experience in the Place Investment team in Redcar and Cleveland Council, I was a bundle of nerves. I thought that the adult and scary world of work would be way beyond me. But it wasn’t long before I settled in and began to contribute in my own way via the Redcar | Cleveland Ambassador project.

I’m sure that Redcar and Cleveland will be the home of many of my happiest memories. I’ve loved my family trips out to enjoy the coastland and green spaces, and can spend hours on end perusing the small businesses in our towns and villages. This little blog (posts below) is my way of expressing my pride and appeal to you to love the place you live.

See you again soon!
