Delivered in Partnership with Redcar Cleveland Youth Services at 25k Centre.
Over a number of months in 2025, Young People attending Youth Services activities at 25k Centre in Redcar have taken part in the Between the Tides Festival Club – an especially important group in designing & planning Between the Tides Festival 2025.
Across 10 sessions, these fantastic young people have collaborated closely with the RCBC Events team on a huge range of activities.
The group have directly chosen shows to be performed at the festival, have worked with a local artists to create Festival decoration, and design the costume for our brand new character, Lady Lemon Top. They have selected all of the the music for the Silent Disco, some of them will be performing on the Live Music stage, and they created a podcast – taking us behind the scenes of the festival.
Perhaps more importantly than all this, this group, along with lots of others across the Borough, have given the Events team a real understanding of their passions, interests, hopes and fears. All of this has supported the design of the Festival, from which shows to present, to which food to sell. Between the Tides Festival could not have happened without them.
All of the pieces that this group have made, chosen or designed are clearly labelled in the Festival Programme. Make sure to check them out, and see the extraordinary creativity of Redcar Clevland’s young people.
This work couldn’t have take place without the brilliant, vital work undertaken by Redcar Cleveland Youth Services, particularly James & Hellen at 25k. A huge thank you to them, and all the team.
