Feel Good in the Forest

Guisborough Forest offers a range of activities as part of Forestry England’s Feel Good in the Forest programme. These activities are free to take part in and include optional time at the end for refreshments and socialising.

Wellbeing trail tour

Guisborough Forest’s first ever virtual 360 forest wellbeing video is here for you to enjoy! This will hopefully be a comforting tool for those who are unable to visit the Forest or those who would like to explore a little more as a step towards their visit. Take the virtual tour here.

Guisborough Forest Walking Festival 

May is National Walking month, so Guisborough Forest is celebrating with a walking festival from the 12th – 18th May, offering a fantastic selection of guided walks available for you to take part in for free.

Feel Good in The Forest Spring timetable

There are regular activities scheduled throughout Spring and Summer 2025 including walking photography, Tai Chi, Forest Yoga and beginner running courses to help people improve their wellbeing and get more active. Mind Over Mountains

Forestry England is thrilled to be able to host Mind Over Mountains who are providing mental wellbeing walks this Summer at Guisborough Forest. These walks are supported by professional coaches and counsellors who will walk with you and provide support. For more information please see the poster attached. Woodland stroll (dementia friendly)

Paul from Redcar and Cleveland Council currently provides a very gentle woodland stroll the 1st Friday of each month at 1pm along Guisborough walkway. He is the ranger, a hub of all knowledge and nature enthusiast who aims to support those wanting to take their time over an hour to connect with the nature around them in a safe and friendly environment.
