Welcome to Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park

Whilst the Visitor Centre remains closed, Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park is the perfect place to explore the countryside and an ideal starting point from which to discover Eston Hills. The Visitor Centre * provides information to visitors and hosts various events throughout the year, from guided walks and treasure trails to craft workshops and children’s entertainment. The Visitor Centre sells cold refreshments, fresh coffee, pocket money priced toys and a selection of home crafted wooden gifts.

The woodland centre is available to hire, ideal for meetings and birthday parties. Please contact the Visitor Centre for availability and prices.

Admission to the site is free.

Some events throughout the year will be subject to an admission fee, please see the ‘What’s on’ section for events and admission costs.


The car park is located off Flatts Lane that runs between Normanby and the A171 Guisborough Road. Brown tourist signs are located in Normanby and on the A171 directing people to the park.

Access on foot is possible from Normanby, Eston, Ormesby, Spencerbeck and Nunthorpe.
