Friday Five

It’s Friday Five – our round up of five great things happening in #OurRedcarCleveland this week.

1. Madchester came to Redcar when Happy Monday’s legend Bez delivered a guest DJ slot at The Pitcher House.

The big hearted dancer even took time out to take a selfie to promote a local suicide awareness campaign.

2. Get the steel drums out and get ready to party!
It’s Redcar Racecourse’s Caribbean Carnival Day on Saturday 10 August. Gates Open 11 am, first Race – 2pm, last Race – 5pm – £5.00 – £17.00
Good luck to the jockeys, horses and punters.

3. Redcar and Cleveland’s very own Patrick Monahan wowed the crowds at the Edinburgh Fringe.
C’mon Patrick – sign up to become an Ambassador and help us spread the word about #OurRedcarCleveland being a great place to live, enjoy and do business…but with added jokes.

4. Redcar Live continues!
Redcar is coming alive with live music and fun workshops throughout August.
Visit our What’s On page to find out more about the gig-packed weekend coming up right here on your door step.

5. Thrilled to have received more than 100 entries to our photo competition already! Would you like to be in with a chance winning a night for two at the amazing Gisborough Hall? Then get snapping! E want your photos of what makes Redcar and Cleveland unique!

Tell us what you think we should include in next week’s Friday Five!
