Festival of Thrift

September 24 - September 25

Free

Come and celebrate in style as we mark 10 years of thrifty fun! Once again, we will take over the enchanting village of Kirkleatham and transform it into a packed national celebration of sustainable living. Every September we welcome 50,000 people to Redcar to discuss, learn , try out, and enjoy every aspect of sustainability. From swapping clothes, alfresco dining and cooking, to fixing your bike, with the added bonus of performance, live music and ethical shopping. With each new year comes a fresh theme and #ThriftFest22 focuses on Our Common Wealth that aligns with the 2022 Commonwealth Games but also explores in more depth what our own common wealth is – what do we share? What do we have in common?

Thought-provoking performances await you along with our special mix of hands-on fun, food, music, dance and song.
