Tees Valley Economic Future Breakfast

September 17 @ 8:45 am - 10:30 am

Excerpt

“Developments at Teesworks, the UK’s largest and most connected industrial zone, are attracting major investment and sectoral opportunities in areas such as green energy and advanced manufacturing. Darlington is now home to several government departments (the ‘civil service powerhouse’) and there are significant developments taking shape in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough.

All this activity is generating economic growth across Tees Valley, so now is the perfect moment for Insider to launch its Tees Valley Economic Future breakfast event. With billions in investment and thousands of new jobs on the horizon, how can the Tees Valley ensure it maximises its economic potential for future generations?

Taking place at the International Airport, which is itself transforming into a major business, innovation and logistics hub, the event will explore the economic drivers, regeneration hotspots and growth sectors shaping Teesside’s future. We will examine what opportunities exist, examine what challenges need to be overcome and debate the role businesses can make in bringing economic prosperity for the region.

Key Discussion Points:

Economic Drivers and Sectoral Growth – assessing the opportunities that exist in key areas around the Tees Valley.
Regeneration Hotspots – how the redevelopment of urban areas and brownfield sites for housing and business growth can be unlocked.
Job Creation and Skills – how businesses can attract and retain talent to further economic growth.
Investment Priorities – what investment is needed, what funding is available and how it can be used.”
