InspiraTees 2023
12th July 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Excerpt from Eventbrite
“Free spaces are expected to be snapped up fast for the inaugural InspiraTees event, celebrating the region’s most inspiring business leaders and featuring a reveal in countdown fashion from 30 to number one.
The event, in association with Tees Medical Services, will be held 12-2pm on Wednesday, July 12, in Hardwick Hall Hotel’s new Lakeside Marquee, revealing the results of the annual Tees Business poll on the Tees region’s most inspiring business leaders, as voted for by their peers.
Almost 200 business leaders took part in the eighth annual poll with dozens of their counterparts receiving votes.
Many of the top 30 will be in attendance at the lunchtime event, which will count down to the business leader who received the most votes, who will receive the InspiraTees trophy.
There will also be networking over refreshments and a buffet at the free-to-attend event – but booking is essential with demand expected to be high.
Tees Business first held its poll in 2016 when Middlesbrough FC chairman Steve Gibson OBE topped the poll.
It was then won by the Wilton Group’s Bill Scott OBE before Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen topped the poll in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Since then votes have not been allowed for the region’s political figures, ruling out Houchen and Andy Preston – 1st and 2nd in 2020.
With 2021 winner Professor Jane Turner OBE DL passing away shortly after becoming the first woman to top the poll, last year saw PD Ports CEO Frans Calje OBE pip Bill Scott and Sharon Lane of Tees Components to become the first non-Brit to finish top.
In the event of a no-show without prior notice to the event organisers, a charge of £30 + VAT will be applied to cover the hard costs associated with your ticket.”
