Assessing risk in the workplace during Covid-19:

16th September 2020 – Trainer: Andy Fordham

As with all places of work there is a requirement to keep everyone safe, this includes employees, visitors and members of the public. As an employer, you also have a legal responsibility to protect workers and others from risk to their health and safety, recognising you cannot completely eliminate the risk of COVID-19.

A risk assessment will help workplaces identify areas of risk and put in place control measures to reduce these risks as far as reasonably practicable. By identifying the hazards, then grading the risk a control measure can be put into place.

The owners of businesses, hotels and other guest accommodation have a duty to reduce workplace risk to the lowest reasonably practicable level by taking preventative measures.

This session is suitable for all managers and business owners with responsibility for undertaking risk-assessments
