Business Enterprise Fund

Unsecured business loans up to £250,000

  • Terms up to 10 years
  • Finance for cash flow, asset purchase and business growth and development
  • Flexible and personally tailored
  • No early repayment fees
  • Personal guarantees required

Secured business loans up to £150,000

  • Terms up to 15 years
  • Finance for premises, plant and machinery, stock and acquisitions
  • Can be tailored in conjunction with existing arrangements
  • No early repayment fees
  • Tangible security required
Start-up Loan Fund

Start-up Loan Fund is a national, Government-run scheme and is available to businesses in their first two years of trading, offering low-interest personal loans to help fund business ideas:

  • Borrow up to £25,000 per director or partner
  • Fixed interest rate of 6% APR
  • 1 – 5 years loan repayment term
  • No set up or early repayment fees
Teesside Flexible Investment Fund

The £20 million Teesside Flexible Investment Fund aims to support economic development in Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees through a mix of finance to support buying a business, property funding and bond finance. Repayments will be reinvested in new schemes, creating a total investment of £68million. 

It aims to tackle identified funding gaps in Teesside and increase the supply and diversity of finance to businesses.

The Teesside Flexible Investment Fund is backed by Teesside Pension Fund.

They can provide investment of £100,000 to £3 million to enterprises making an economic impact in Teesside. The funding can be used for a variety of business needs:

  • Property development loans from £250,000 to £3 million for residential and non-speculative commercial property developments
  • Loans from £100,000 to £2 million for contract related bonds 
  • Flexible loans and equity investments from £250,000 to £3m to support buying a business.
The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) II

NPIF II can help provide the funding gap you may need if you are an entrepreneur looking to grow your business.

Loans are available to help growing businesses:

  • Microfinance for recent start-ups and existing businesses seeking to borrow £25,000 – £100,000 to kickstart activity.
  • Debt Finance for SMEs needing to borrow larger amounts (£100k -£2m) to finance growth.
  • Equity Finance for SMEs with ambitious growth plans seeking an equity injection of up to £5m.
UKSE

The regeneration subsidiary of Tata Steel who focus on former steel areas affected by changes in the steel industry.

Funding available to help your business grow:

  • Loans from £25,000
  • Available to finance asset purchases, management buyouts, premises, relocations and other funding requirements.
  • Equity finance available up to £1m
