Tees Valley Business Summit 2023

6th July 2023 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

The Tees Valley Business Summit will take place at Teesside University Students’ Union on Thursday 6 July from 9:30, enabling ambitious companies to meet with new suppliers and potential customers.

Delivered by UMi, the event will be one of Tees Valley’s biggest, giving the business community an opportunity to reconnect with existing contacts and meet new ones, capitalising on the growing opportunities in the region.

Free to attend for delegates, this year’s event expects to see more than 800 visitors descend on Teesside University to learn new skills and take part in a series of seminars and workshops.

There will also be an exhibition, packed with more than 90 local exhibitors showcasing their products, services and support. After a successful early bird promotion, stands are already selling out fast.

Representatives from Tees Valley Combined Authority will also provide updates on the exciting developments in Teesside Airport, the Freeport, Teesworks and other projects, which are reshaping the region’s economy and explain how local businesses can get involved.

UMi chief executive Nicki Clark said: “The agenda for this year’s Tees Valley Business Summit is packed with insight and learning for business leaders across the region to help them do more and go further. Start-ups and established businesses alike will gain inspiration from the fantastic speakers who will be sharing their insights on the day.”

The summit is supported by a number of regional partners including headline sponsor North East Enterprise Agency and associate sponsor Sembcorp, as well as event partners the Tees Valley Mayor and Combined Authority, Tees Valley Business and Teesside University.

Paul McEldon, chair of North East Enterprise Agency, said “NEEAL is delighted to once again be sponsoring Tees Valley Business Summit. Having supported over 600 businesses to start in Tees Valley in the last three years, we know first-hand how effective networking and learning from each other can be, and how it contributes massively to business success.

“I look forward particularly to meeting a number of you again on the day and I would actively encourage you to take full advantage of this opportunity.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “Tees Valley Business Summit remains the region’s biggest event in the business calendar and has proved incredibly valuable for all our brilliant businesses year after year.

“This will be no different and leaders come together for advice, networking, seminars and to learn of the massive opportunities taking place right here, right now. This includes the transformational work at Teesworks, thanks to the Teesside Freeport, as well as our ambitious Business Park plans at Teesside Airport.”
