By Car

Accessible from all directions, Kirkleatham can be reached from the A174 Parkway.  The main routes to the A174 are the A19 North from York and the South from Newcastle.

The A171 runs North West from Scarborough to Guisborough linking to the A174 by the B1269.

Car parking is free and is available within the museum grounds. The car park also has designated disabled parking spaces.

By Train

The closest train station to the museum is Redcar Central. This station is serviced regularly by the Northern Rail service from Bishop Auckland to Saltburn.

By Bus

Arriva North East service Kirkleatham with the services 81, 81A, 63 and the 64.
